DAY 01. (WED) GUATEMALA
Arrival to the airport of Guatemala. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Lodging. Tour Departure Day.
DAY 02. (THU) GUATEMALA-CHICHICASTENANGO-PANAJACHEL
Breakfast. Early departure towards the highlands to visit one of the most colorful and famous native flea markets in the World at open space, which originates from quiché maya. The temple of St. Thomas, where one might have the opportunity to witness an ancient ceremony takes place. Free time, for shopping. Continue on towards Panajachel, located at the shores of Lake Atitlán. Lodging.
DAY 03. (FRI) PANAJACHEL-ANTIGUA
Breakfast. Departure on boat to visit Santiago Atitlán, community of the ethnic group Zutuhil. Will return and continue on to the beautiful colonial city of Antigua, one of the most precious architectural jewels of America. Lodging.
DAY 4. (SAT) ANTIGUA-GUATEMALA-FLORES
Breakfast. City tour of Antigua, declared World Heritage by the UNESCO. Plaza of Arms, the Convent of the Capuchinas, La Merced and San Francisco. The city is surrounded by three eye-catching volcanoes. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport of Guatemala City to fly over to the city of Flores, located in the Petén region. Lodging.
DAY 5. (SUN) FLORES-TIKAL
Breakfast. Transfer to the archaeological site of Tikal, declared World Heritage by UNESCO and one of the most important in the Mayan World. There we will meet upon the temple of the Great Jaguar, the temple of the Masks, the Acropolis and the temple of the Serpent. Lunch.
Return to Flores. Lodging.
DAY 06. (MON) FLORES-YAXCHILÁN-PALENQUE
Breakfast. Transfer to the River Usumacinta, where we will navigate to the border line of Guatemala and Mexico, Bethel / Corozal, towards the archaeological site of Yaxchilán, spectacular for its jungle atmosphere. Continue on to Escudo Jaguar. Lunch. Proceed to continue on to Palenque. Dinner. Lodging.
DAY 07. (TUE) PALENQUE - CAMPECHE
Breakfast. Visit Palenque, surrounded by jungle. One of the prime and most important Mayan archaeological sites. Inside the Pyramid of the Inscriptions, King Pakal´s sarcophagus and its fascinating carved gravestone were found. We w zill view the Sun temple, the Cross temple &
the Palace. Departure to find a nice panoramic of the Gulf of México. Lunch on your own. Continue on to the beautiful walled city of Campeche. Panoramic view through the city. Dinner. Lodging.
Day 08. (WED) CAMPECHE - UXMAL - MERIDA
Breakfast. Departure to Uxmal, site declared World Heritage by UNESCO. We will visit this archaeological site and its wonders: the Guesser Pyramid, the Nunnery Quadrangle, Governor's Palace, and the Ballgame Court. Lunch and arrival to Mérida, "the White City", to enjoy a panoramic view: Montejo Avenue, the monument to Motherland, the Main Square, the Cathedral, Government Palaces. Lodging.
Day 09. (THU) MERIDA - CHICHEN ITZA - CANCUN
Breakfast. Departure to Chichén Itzá, the most important Mayan and awesome site in Mexico. Declared World Heritage by UNESCO. We will find advanced archaeo-astronomic knowledge in this city. We will visit the pyramid known as "the Castle" or Kukulcán temple, the Ballgame Court, the Skull temple, Jaguar’s temple, the Observatory, the One Thousand Columns Square, the Sacred Well. Ahead to beautiful well IKIL, where we will be able to swim in. Lunch. Continuation to Cancun. Lodging.
Day 10. (FRI). CANCUN
Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the wonderful talcum powdered turquoise beaches or take an optional tour as Isla Mujeres, Xcaret, Tulum/Xel-Há or Cozumel. Our office will be more than happy in suggesting alternatives and confirm your flight. Lodging.
Day 11. (SAT). CANCUN - END OF SERVICES
Breakfast. At convenient time, transfer to the airport. Flight ticket not included.
